Police Brutality: Dog Walker w/Camera Beaten By Cops (RAW)
DENVER – What started as a walk to the park with his dogs ended with a trip to the hospital for a Denver dog owner. 32-year-old Mark Ashford says he was beaten black and blue by two Denver Police officers. “They punched him and pinned him up against the fence and forced his head into the concrete.” Ashford’s attorney, Will Hart, said the beating that was caught on camera is a clear case of Excessive Force. “This happened when he was walking his dogs, he has a conversation with another citizen that the police officer doesn’t like and as a result, he ends up in the hospital,” said Hart. Hart says Mark Ashford was walking his dogs near 20th and Little Raven in LoDo, when he saw police pull over a driver for failing to stop at a stop sign. Ashford told the driver he saw him stop and would be willing to testify in court. Hart says the officer overheard him and “wasn’t very happy.” That’s when Ashford says the Denver police officers demanded his ID and detained him. Ashford tried to take a picture of the officers to document the incident, and a few second later he was on the ground. Police charged Ashford with interference and resisting arrest. Hart says, the charges were later dropped because the officers violated Ashford’s 4th amendment rights, “they had no reason to stop him, take his ID or detain him.” An Excessive Force complaint was filed against both officers involved. A Denver police spokesperson says the internal affairs department has completed its investigation, but …

By runcrackerjackrun, September 30, 2010 @ 5:00 pm
@wildsided I dont see any “brutality” in this video either. Dude was being disrepectful from the begining by repeatedly talkin on the phone. Maybe his parents should have beaten his ass when he was a child and needed it , then the cops wouldnt have to do it for them. Most of this brutality that you see could be stopped before it has the chance to happen if people would be a little more respectful.
By gwedo540, September 30, 2010 @ 10:26 pm
@runcrackerjackrun Respect?! Violating someones rights is obviously a lack of respect on the officers end.
“Police charged Ashford with interference and resisting arrest. Hart says, the charges were later dropped because the officers violated Ashford’s 4th amendment rights, “they had no reason to stop him, take his ID or detain him.”
And your saying to respect someone who does this to people walking there dog?
By scarceas, October 1, 2010 @ 11:36 pm
@wildsided Seemed a bit out of line around 6:50 for sure, when the guy was calm and handcuffed, why throw his face in the concrete and pin his head with the knee? There was no need for that, there was no threat. Just one of the “perks” of being a cop?

@runcrackerjackrun
You retarded crackhead i hope u fry.

By DRock7977, October 2, 2010 @ 9:33 pm
They had no fucking reason in the first place to even stop this guy, they like most cops in America is just looking for a fight to liven up their boring donuteating fat life.
By KarateKidX, October 3, 2010 @ 4:06 am
From the video, I can see no wrongdoing from the police, as it appears as they arrested the person in question and tried to restrain him. The person resisted and tried to get away, and the police did what they needed to to arrest him.
Now, IF, IF the description is the truth and entire truth, the police had no business arresting this man in the first place, unless they had a specific reason to believe that he had committed a crime.

@fuckitsgay
are you batman?
By CorruptPhillyCops, October 3, 2010 @ 1:31 pm
@runcrackerjackrun
Yes, the “victim” was an arrogant asshole, and none of this would have happened if he would have just followed the commands of the police. Nonetheless, the police went overboard with the violence. He should be charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, in addition to whatever he was originally cited for. More significantly, the police should be charged with aggravated assault and official oppression. You should not get the death penalty for failing to obey a cop.
By CorruptPhillyCops, October 3, 2010 @ 1:33 pm
@gwedo540
Actually, federal and state courts have consistently given police tremendous leeway with respect to what constitutes reasonable cause to stop pedestrians. The charges should not have been dropped. However, the police themselves should be charged with aggravated assault and related offenses, as they clearly exceeded their authority by excessively beating the defendant.
By CorruptPhillyCops, October 3, 2010 @ 1:36 pm
@KarateKidX
None of this would have happened if this asshole had not acted like a prima donna.
Still, the policemen should be charged with aggravated assault for their use of excessive force. Of course, that will never happen, as it would ruffle the feathers of all of the involved self-important political hacks.

@KarateKidX YOU KNOW WHAT!………. tht made me gigle
