I'm looking for a natural skunk repellent?

natural dog repellent

I have a wild skunk that frequents my back porch. My neighbors are slobs and the skunk can easily get into their garbage for a free meal, he does it regularly! I have a Boston Terrier and I really don’t want to step outside and get sprayed! So I’m looking for a natural skunk repellent that won’t poison my dog. If I just shoot him, then I’ll have a smelly, dead skunk in my back yard! Any ideas?
I’ll try anything, except getting sprayed!

What do I do about these ants?! HELP!?

natural dog repellent

For the past couple of months we have been finding these dead ants everywhere. The first time we started noticing them, they were all over the kitchen counter. Come to find out, they were coming out of the electrical outlet nearby. I still don’t understand why the majority of them were dead though. After we got those cleared out, we noticed them coming out of a different electrical outlet in the kitchen. So we got rid of them again! Well, yesterday I opened the pantry and lo and behold they’re in there now. Most of them dead again, but there were about 10-20 still alive. So we took everything out of the pantry, killed them all, swept them out and sprayed some natural insect repellent. This morning I opened up the pantry to check, and there were a ton more ants in there again (again, most of them were dead). This time, however, we can not figure out how they’re getting in. Any advice?! Also, we have an 11 month old and a dog, so any type of "extermination" would have to be kid/pet friendly! Thanks in advance!
Also.. there are absolutely no dirty dishes sitting around and no open food containers (well, there was a box of cheez its, but they have obviously been thrown away now). I don’t understand what they could be after!
I know most of them are already dead and I don’t have much to worry about.. but it’s still gross that there are dead ants everywhere, and if I can figure out how, I’d love to prevent them from coming in at all. And since all of them aren’t dead, there are some that crawl around on the kitchen floor – where my son likes to walk/crawl around. He’s been bitten by one ant so far, and I don’t want it to happen again! =/

How to keep neighbors dog off my side off porch/Deck?

natural dog repellent

My neighbor and I share a huge back porch. Its large enough we both have gas grills we both have patio sets mine is a 6 chair large round table and her grill is a 5 burner and a side burner. so we are talking plenty of room.So this summer her son moved out.So she doesn’t walk the dog its half lapsa half something not a big dog. She isn’t old> the neighbor she has a 11 year old .They wont walk the dog so it urinates and poops all over the porch she doesn’t clean her side at all.I put a mop broom and bucket for all to use as a hint.NOPE.talk to the landlord. He talked to her nope. The adjacent Businesses under us have complained from the urine dripping down .She don’t care.I asked the landlord to purchase me a gate . He aid for me to get it.She isn’t my tenant ! so any natural repellents to keep the dog of my side.I mean I sprayed the porch with bug barrier cause we get flys and ants bad well with the poop it attracts them more.i go to the fridge next to the window i will see poop and a family of flys on my screen staring at me.The smell is gross when the wind or fans blow. The only room I don’t have air conditioning.Because the apartments electrical wont hold that much usage.I have them in 4 rooms already or i would have put one in the kitchen too.So any suggestions?I cant talk to her #1 she denies it #2 I will admit i am short tempered and have anger management issues ,# 3 she thinks she is wonder woman cause she don’t take her medication and i truly love her daughter so wooping her moms azz over something petty ,i wouldn’t be able to spend time with the daughter anymore. So suggestions please Thank you
The worst part is her apartment is spotless .she vacuum’s at least twice a day.Her and her daughter dress as meticulous as can be. But her trash ,cans and porch NASTY
I have given the landlord 3-4 months of photos dated and time stamped. My mom was going for the throw it at the wench LOL i was towards old fashion brown bag stink bomb then the landlord has to come clean the effects from the building and she will get the message .Instead i have opt to with hold my rent until the gate is paid for and installed .which in our state is legal.

What can I use for a natural ant repellent?

natural dog repellent

My fam. and I don’t want to use chemicals and when we did use ant pellets that you spread around the perimeter of the house to keep them out, it totally did not work.
We don’t want to use anything with chemicals or something than can be toxic to our dog who is outside occasionally.
Is there some sort of food that ants will totally avoid?

Environment too hot for my dogs?

natural dog repellent

I have a 2 yr old Pomeranian and a 5 month old Maltese Mix. I’m going camping in a few weeks and was debating on whether I should take them with me. I’ve talked to my vet and she cleared them both to go as they are up-to-date on all needed vaccines. She also recommended a natural insect repellent.

The part Im struggling with is the temperature. It is supposed to be about 90 degress during that week and we are camping in tents, with mostly dry heat. Our campground is on some hard packed dirt, surrounded by trees which provide shade at particular times of the day. Do you guys think the environment would be too hot for them?

Diatomaceous Earth? Where do I put it?

natural dog repellent

I’m looking for safe flea killers and repellents. I see my dog, Sugar (female West Highland White Terrier. She’ll be 3 on September 10th.), scratch and bite herself occasionally and it makes me sad. Fleas are HORRIBLE. I know, I gave her a bath in the house before and fleas came in my room. The bites are just horrid. It’s torturous. They’re not in my room anymore. My dad bought some Raid flea repellent or something like that. I don’t want any fleas to bother her anymore.

NOTE: Sugar sleeps outside.

So I was looking for the natural, safe for pets and family, flea killers. I found Diatomaceous Earth. I was wondering, where do I put it? Can I put it in Sugar’s bed? Do I and can I put it on her skin and all through her fur?
I saw that K9 Advantix cause some dogs to have seizures so I don’t want to use that on her. Frontline plus has chemicals. So I was trying to look for something natural that won’t harm my dog.

She sleeps outside because my dad doesn’t want her indoors. He saw ‘Monsters Inside Me’ and saw the parasites that some people got from their pets and he doesn’t want any pets indoors. o-o

How do I keep the fleas off my 7 mo. old puppy?

natural dog repellent

I have 7 month old min. schnauzer but can’t manage to keep the fleas off or away from him. We have a larger older dog who has no fleas at all. It seems they all just jump on the puppy. This is round 2 of bathing him in flea shampoo, spraying him with a natural flea repellent and giving him a dose of front-line plus. However, the fleas just don’t want to leave. Is there something I’m missing here? If the backyard needs to be treated, then why haven’t the fleas latched on to the other dog? Anyone, please help. This is costing me a lot of cash, time and heartache. I have sprayed the house along with bedding and other furniture with the flea repellent as well. Would Capstar (I think its called) help in this situation? Thank you so much to everyone answering this.
